Bricks in the Boardroom – the power of taking your toys to work


The first things they usually say when they see the LEGO® bricks are – “I haven’t played with these since I was a kid!”, “My kids would love it here!”, or the occasional “Do your kids know that you’ve taken all their LEGO®?”. There is nothing like the sight of these ubiquitous plastic bricks to bring up memories of and associations with children and childhood. They are after all, one of the best known and best loved toys of our time – “Toy of the Century” in fact, as named by Fortune Magazine in the year 2000; and more recently, the world’s most powerful brand by the consulting firm Brand Finance just this year. LEGO® is everywhere these days – from toy shelves, to video games, to movies and TV – and everything is awesome.
